Around here it’s Men’s Curling Championships.
It’s wearing my plastic braces again.
It’s a boy who is growing quickly and I ever remind myself that this is what we want.
It’s thinking about music.
I’m writing this from the vocal booth at the studio in Saskatoon where tomorrow I’ll begin recording a new album with good people who are unfazed by my tardiness and who will probably see me cry this week.
Three things happened recently that are coincidental, and related in beautiful linear fashion:
My application for funding this album didn’t make the grade.
I chose to carry on with my plans for the recording.
Subscriptions began renewing.
I deeply want to make this album. The renewals rolling in were the boost that raised my belief in myself beyond what I can accomplish alone. They said, DO IT.
Thank you for that.
If you need me this week, I’ll be in the studio or watching curling or finishing up lyrics.
Omg. Ask Paul about working with me when we were babies. Such a talented player!
Thank you for putting your sweet voice out there for us to enjoy along with your sweet writing🥰 Looking forward to the new album!
