On days like today I think about slippers and lush carpets. Of sitting at a piano and working out Joni Mitchell songs that I’ve been playing for over 20 years. I think about tea with cashew milk and honey. About wool sweaters and clean washed hair. About my son on the floor playing with blocks; stacking them high with the occasional, “Woo-aaooowh.”
