Hi friends. My writing mentor, Joyce Belcher is offering a pop up class this Saturday at 9:30 AM. I love writing with her. She offers a completely nonjudgemental atmosphere and I recommend her class to anyone who’s already writing, wants to write again or is just curious about how one could get started. You must change your life. Move slowly. Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast. Do not let your awareness drift to the pace of others because you do not understand what has allowed them to move faster or slower. Be mindful of your own.

Let me say that again.

Be mindful of your own.

Your own reactions.
Your own perceptions.
Your own fears.
Your own pain.
Your own dreams.
Your own love.
Your own ambition.

Be mindful and move closer towards each, whether they are created by you or thrust upon you. Transmute them with your heart’s tremendous ability to hold joy and sorrow simultaneously.

Turn yourself towards the work that humbles and exhausts. You will need tea. You will need home cooked meals. You will also need a solo road trip and a drive-thru burger with onion rings and the sun on your face and music and silence. And you will need time.

You must change your life. Over and over and over and over and over again or nothing around you will change and you will wonder why.

To get something you’ve never gotten you have to do something you’ve never done.

And if you do —— WHEN you do —— you will find a stillness; an allegorical meadow to rest and retreat. And you will know that you and only you tend it.

You must change your life so your life may change you.
